What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a form of drug-free non-invasive manual medicine, based on western anatomy and physiology. It is a global, holistic approach to health care. Osteopaths do not simply concentrate on treating the problem area or the symptoms, but use manual techniques to balance all the systems of the body, to provide overall good health and wellbeing. In the United Kingdom, the United States and some other English-speaking countries, osteopathy is part of regular Western medicine, whereas some other countries, it is considered an alternative treatment.
